Enjoy an evening of contemporary chamber music from Halifax’s new music group Alkali Collective. Explore the world of graphic and text based scores while experiencing the visuals as they are projected in the concert space. This concert will feature a world premiere from Montréal composer Symon Henry, as well as works by Deborah Carruthers, Paolo Griffin, Sarah Hennies, and Alexis Porfiriadis.

This one-hour workshop for children will encourage creativity, collaboration, and self-expression through music, movement, and art. No previous experience is required; students can bring their own instruments or use their voices to participate. Discover a new approach to creativity by connecting multiple artistic mediums and explore this exciting way of music making!
This workshop will consist of a series of brief activities that connect music, art and movement in a fun and experimental way. This is your chance to create sounds to match your dance moves, colour what you hear, perform a “musical recipe”, and more!
